The talented young singer Mansour Zaitar plays sufi music from Syria on this album. Syria is a country where sufis still play an important role in the religious everyday life. Mansour learned the art of ‘inshad’ (a lyrical form of Sufi poetry) from his grandfather. He soon acquired an excellent reputation in the Arab world because his beautiful and original combination of vocals and poetry.  He is accompanied on instruments like ney, oud (luth) and qanun (cither).
