Alexander Balanescu

Alexander Balanescu is one of the most visionary and exciting violinists or our time as well as a prolific composer. With a repertoirecentred in contemporary and new music he is always looking to the future.
Born in Romania he wemt to the Special School for Music at the age of seven. Studies continued in the Rubin Academy, Jerusalem, Trinity College on London and at the Julliard School in New York. He took part in many master classes with e.g. Pinchas Zukerman, Itzhak Perlman and others.

Before forming the Balanescu Quartet in 1987 he performed with many major contemporary music groups, the last one being the famous Arditi Quartet.
His own quartet commissioned many works, as well as playing Alexander's own compositions. Due to collaborations with the Pet Shop Boys Pina Bausch, Meryl Tankard and others they travelled all over the world in many different venues and festivals.


Ada Milea

Ada Milea was born in 1975 in Tirgu Mures. (Romania), where she graduated from The Dramatic Arts University of Tirgu Mures. She was an actress between 1997 and 1999 at the National Theatre of Tirgu Mures, after which she decided to be an independent artist and and since then worked in many different theatres.
She also initiated projects in which the actors and musicians became musical characters experimenting with the links between theatrical and musical fields.
As a singer, she has given many concerts, not only throughout Romania, but also in the United Kingdom, Hungary, Belgium, Germany, Italy, Croatia, Israel, Spain, U.S.A., Austria and France.
